about
Tribal Fashion Week is the brainchild of Tourism Q Productions, Fashion D, and Neafrica Productions—three collaborating companies that bring extensive experience and expertise in fashion, television, photography, marketing, and business to the modeling industry. This collaboration features a team of highly talented producers, event managers, and models who are skilled in various aspects of the fashion industry and media platforms, including television commercials, advertising, fashion editorials, fashion shows, and hair shows. The team is assembled from across all African countries with a shared goal of elevating the continent’s fashion industry. Coordinated from Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa, the event brings together representatives from more than 27 affiliated countries to participate in our inaugural edition.

Tribal Fashion Week is a vital platform and promotional tool, built on four pillars aimed at enhancing the prestige of fashion trends in Africa and worldwide. This annual event helps bridge the gap between fashion designers, runway models, commercial sponsors, marketing partners, and consumers. It establishes a foundation for networking, research, job creation, and the transition of talent from startups to sustainable businesses.

The focal point is to eliminate the gaps that hinder collaboration among the four pillars, enabling them to build brands that are recognized both on the continent and globally. Tribal Fashion Week will be held for the first time during the week of November 23rd–29th, 2026. It is intended to become an annual event, hosted in a different country each year by a winning bidder, director, or promoter.

Tribal Fashion Week events will be promoted across the African continent and beyond, targeting a diverse range of ethnic groups rooted in our motherland. The goal is to showcase the vibrant and varied fashion trends, supported by a range of commercial partners.

Tribal Fashion Week will expand its reach across the continent to discover fresh talent in the following categories: Fashion Designers (ages 17 to 45) and Runway Models (ages 14 to 35). The event is dedicated to unearthing, nurturing, and developing new talent, while providing access to markets and business opportunities.

Tribal Fashion Week will produce a television series on DStv that will showcase all our brands worldwide. All participants will be given access to our media platforms to promote and exhibit their brands. We invite fashion designers and fashion models to join this exciting event.
